Two generations of bluesmen have joined forces for this recording, bringing to it all their charisma, strength, genius, knowledge and musical skills They were legendary seventy six years old Chicago guitar player and singer Jimmy Burns and, on the other hand, guitar player and singer Chris Shutters, forty years younger than Burns The two musicians met by chance in a jam session ran by Jimmy Burns at Buddy Guy’s Legends club That night Chris came on stage to play a couple of songs and Jimmy liked that young guy playing so much that he made him be on stage playing guitar for him the whole night A good friendship between the two musicians started that night up to date The idea of recording something together gradually came up and now Chris has decided to capture in this album the complicity, chemistry and good work of both Jimmy Burns and Chris Shutters, in ten colorful songs where they have worked together, although they have signed them under their own name, that is to say, seven come from Chris Shutters and the other three by Jimmy Burns Despite having quite different styles, the result is a varied, powerful and dynamic album, showing two distinctive ways of approaching and performing the blues, which perfectly match and combine the youth and the experience of two very good artists, always showing an extreme good taste, skill and harmony between them
