We are facing a magnificent album done by singer and sax player Chris Murphy, backed by a roster of the best musicians that can be found in Canadian blues scene Each one of the cd songs show several ways, forms and styles of how to perform the blues, always done with high quality and good taste by all the musicians involved in the album who are Chris Murphy, sax and vocals, Lance Anderson keyboards, Teddy Leonard guitar, Garth Vogan bass, Tim Tayler drums, Howard Moore trumpet, the voices of Miss Amoy and Miss Ceceal Levi and Jack Keyzer guitar solos in the songs Hold It Right There and Something Else Twelve intense powerful tracks with not a single bad note on them, that include shuffles, straight ahead rocking blues, low down dirty grinds and even a drop of urban funk, some of them with a tremendous bright effective horn arrangements I am sure fans will enjoy with this album that brings all the benefit and advantages of the most entertaining funny engaging blues you can imagine
