If I said these two musicians do not have the blues I would be lying Undoubtedly Chris James and Patrick Rynn have the blues in the blood and they give off this musical genre they perfectly know and have totally assimilated Both musicians gather the spirit of the blues in each and every one of the notes they play, as well as in the whole performing they do, either in records or in live shows The new work of these two magicians is full of charm and feeling, because they faithfully devote themselves to lead us up to the marvellous ways of the most genuine ‘old Chicago blues’ with a deep convincing commitment and a great performing talent The cd includes twelve wonderful pearls recorded in four different sessions The names involved in the album are Chris James guitar, vocal and harmonica in one song, Patrick Rynn electric bass, Jody Williams guitar in three songs, Rob Stone harmonica in two cuts, piano players Aaron Moore, Henry Gray and Dave Maxwell, drummers Willie ‘Big Eyes’ Smith, Eddie Kobek and Willie Hayes and, finally, Eddie Shaw, Jonny Viau and Norbert W Johnson in tenor sax This is a bright, intense and emotional album full of real old school Chicago blues Amazing!!
