Argentinian singer and guitar player now living in Barcelona, Spain and simply known as Chino, took advantage of a visit to USA to record this album together with some of the actual best known white musicians of California blues scene like Junior Watson on guitar in six of the ten album songs, Nathan James on bass, baritone guitar, twelve-string guitar, Resophonic, and vocals in one cut, Marty Dodson drums in six songs, Marcus Milius harmonica in three tracks and, of course, Chino’s voice and Resophonic guitar that sound along the album with his usual skill and self confidence The result is a cool effective recording that presents a variety of blues styles coming from different decades and places, performed with swing, twist and much groove If you have the chance to see Chino live, do not leave the opportunity to get a cd copy, as I am sure it will fulfil and satisfy not only your blues hunger but also all your biggest expectations
