From San Diego, California, comes a new album by singer, guitar player and songwriter Chickenbone Slim. Since he founded his own band in 2012, his popularity and prestige have not stopped to grow so he can now be considered as one of the best emerging musicians not only in California but also all over USA.

The album has been recorded in the famous Kid Andersen’s Greaseland studios in San Jose, California, with a faultless production that allows us to appreciate, not only Slim’s skills but also the quality of his band musicians which include guitar player Laura Chavez, bass player Andrew Crane and drummer Marty Dodson (Fabulous Thunderbirds). Together with them you will also find guest musicians Kid Andersen on piano, organ and guitar, harmonica player Aki Kumar and Kid’s wife Lisa on backing vocals.

The album includes thirteen Chickenbone Slim’s own compositions where traditional Texas and Chicago blues combine with West Coast swing, American music and rockabilly. A very ‘hot’ album to listen to at any time, and enjoy yourself with an artist who admires T-Bone Walker, John Lee Hooker, Hound Dog Taylor or Dave Edmonds to only name a few.
