It is good to have again some news about this Atlanta singer and guitar player whom we have not heard about for some time Chick was cousin of rhythm & blues singer Chuck Willis (almost with the same name) who passed away in 1958 Now Chick gives us a wonderful moving cd full of Chicago blues with some southern soul influences in the path of Otis Clay or Buddy Guy together with some contemporary blues If I am not wrong, singer and guitar player Roy Roberts has encouraged Chick to go again to a recording studio and this has been a very good idea, because it has given us the pleasure to discover again Chick’s splendid voice and his interesting guitar playing work I wish we can enjoy his music for a long time
