With more than forty years of musical experience on her back, both putting her vocal qualities to other artists’ work or leading her own bands and projects, now the explosive, lively and passionate Cheryl Lescom brings us her fifth album recorded under her own name Since she was a teenager she had always dreamed to become a singer One night she went to see Ann Wilson, one of her favourite vocalists and, that night, she decided she wanted to become a singer too so, after the show, she asked Ann what on hell she had to do to become a good singer Ann Wilson’s answer was: stop smoking, stop drinking beer, take singing lessons and then start your adventure on the musix road without hang-ups, because I can tell you have the skills and the courage to do so and much more good things Lescom followed her idol advice and, as years have been passing by, she has become a true and great lady of rhythm and blues and other black musical genres People say wine becomes better as years go by and, with her sixty two well lived years, I can tell you now Cheryl has one of the best and most attractive voices I have heard for a very long time
