Here comes a relaxed calm album from such a legendary singer and harmonica player like Mr Charlie Musselwhite It was recorded live from the Juke Joint Chapel, without overdubs or any other additional effects and this is why it sounds cool, spontaneous and precise Five original songs and some covers coming from musicians like Eddie Taylor, Shakey Jake Harris, Billy Boy Arnold, Little Walter or Andrew Jones among others The album ends with the classic Cristo Redentor, where Charlie appears particularly inspired and brilliant Nothing more than funny engaging music, with powerful shaking and dancing carefully done songs and the spirit of the blues flying over every song included The band is led by Charlie Musselwhite on harmonica and vocals and the rest of musicians are June Core on drums, Matt Stubbs on guitar and Mike Phillips on bass In short words, a dynamic attractive album, where Musselwhite seems to be more comfortable than in other recordings or, at least, this was what I have felt listening to this last work
