Only aged nineteen, singer and guitar player Charlie Bedford has already participated at 2017, 2018 and 2019 Youth Showcases, the youngest promises of blues coming from all over the world do at the International Blues Challenge in Memphis This has led him to record this album for Blue Heart Records, that includes eleven own compositions, plus a version of Mink DeVille’s song Steady Driver Man Sometimes compared to John Mayer, Jonny Lang and Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Charlie Bedford has developed a very personal style that, at the same time, keeps close to these well established musicians In this recording Charlie is backed by his usual musicians plus a couple of guests, Tim Anderson is on drums, David Carr is on bass, vocals and some additional guitars and finally Tim Wild who, besides vocally contributing in some songs, is also in charge of the whole production, supervision and musical arrangements of the twelve songs that give shape to the album Finally Chris Hanger on harmonica and Daryl Roberts on keyboards contribute as guest musicians in some songs In his native Australia, when he was only twelve years old, Charlie Bedford started to play in clubs and bars and now, at the age of nineteen, he already is a full-time musician, which announces a promising future in front of him
