    Valoración: VERY GOOD

Charles Wilson is one of these singers that will never disappoint his fans His typical passionate sweet and intense voice with that particular sensual touch of his songs, mixture of southern soul wirh Tamla, Atlantic and Stax arrangements, are perfectly reflected on these two cds Paul Richmond has produced Songs From The Vault and Floyd Hamberlin was in charge of You Got To Pay To Play production Both have done an excellent work putting their knowledge at Wilson’s disposal to make him shine at a very high level although, in my opinion, Wilson feels most comfortable when he works with Floyd Hamberlin Anyway, both cds will not give new things to his fans In short words, here are two more cds to increase the list of records he has published with his own label Wilson Records, apart from his recordings for Ecko and Ichiban Records His uncle Little Milton can be proud of his nephew Charles, who follows the saga and musical style of such great names as Little Milton himself, Johnnie Taylor, Tyrone Davis, ZZ Hill and other southern soul musicians Our welcome to these two new pieces of work by ‘The Crown Prince Of Soul’
