Some months ago I reviewed another Dupont cd That time I said he was a Chicago blues school singer and guitar player who on that cd paid tribute to Louisiana blues tradition in all stylistic and different aspects with homage to Fats Domino’s r&b or the most original and traditional zydeco sounds Now I can say you will find a more mature sophisticated artist on the two new Chainsaw Dupont records This time he looks for new musical concepts and terms, involving himself on more eclectic rhythms with closer references to techno-pop or dance-music, all them wrapped with blues music Chainsaw Dupont always tries to get a personal growth in every new piece of work and I think he is reaching his aim with his own personal compositions, always helped by a bunch of professional musicians who really know what they have been asked for
