From Portland, Oregon, comes Chad Rupp & The Sugar Roots’ new album full of greasy soul, blues and roadhouse rock ‘n’ roll with influences coming from artists like The Fabulous Thunderbirds, Elvin Bishop and even B.B. King in some guitar passages.

The recording pays homage to Portland blues tradition which keeps alive and well thanks to bands like Chad Rupp & The Sugar Roots, which always show their undeniable power, not only when they are on stage, but also in each and every one of the songs that have been included in the album.

The band musicians are Chad Rupp on guitar and vocals, Brady T. Goss on piano, Fender Rhodes and wurlitzer, Louis Pain on organ, Scott Franklin on sax, Joe-Mack McCarthy on trumpet, Timer Blakely on bass and Jimi Bott on drums and percussion. They also have counted with some guests who contribute to enhance and give brightness to an already intense, rocky, attractive recording, where most listeners will find magnificent blues pearls, like the ones that for many years have been developed in Oregon and especially in Portland, always following the path of those area great names like was Paul DeLay, among many others.
