This is the first album of the trilogy that Cecile Doo-Kingué has done to present us his musical conception and her vision of life In this first volume Cécile explores in equal parts the varied ways of blues, roots music or contemporary folk, which become the most suitable vehicles to express her personal experiences, thanks to a sincere inner prospection and a conscious self-analysis In a moment where the recording production totally depends on the new techniques, Cécile wants to drive us deep into the foundations of the most ‘folky’ music, with a collection of nine acoustic songs performed in the lonely privacy of her bedroom, that becomes her own recording studio and she has done it simply backed by her acoustic guitar that becomes the perfect background for her musical monologues, where she tells us the good things of life, the bad things that must be overcame, the beauty and the ugliness of human behaviour and many other things Cecile is concerned with, communicating her own messages in very particular and subjective way and even singing a cut in French
