It has just come to my hands a real curiosity in an acoustic format album, performed by guitar player and singer Cary Morin The originality of this album comes by the fact Morin is an American Indian of the Crown tribe who loves and uses to play blues In spite of what may at firs sight seem, Cary is well known on an international level, because he was member of Pura Fé band and with them he extensively toured in USA and Europe Now he has released a solo album with a selection of ten own songs and two versions, Dire Wolf by Jerry Garcia and Robert Hunter and Little Martha by Duane Allman The repertoire shows the different musical textures he is able to give to his music, with a point of ascetic interiority far away from commercial standards Both blues and folk ballads flourish in his music, giving to all songs a personal unique poetry Backing Cary Morin’s guitar, pedal steel and principal you will find a good number of musicians who perfectly know their work, as Paul Benjaman on electric guitar, Jason Larson on piano and bass, Dexter Payne on clarinet and harmonica, Lionel Young on violin or Andy Weyl on piano, together with other well selected musicians
