Caroline Dahl became well known in the 80’s as piano player at The Metropolitan Blues Band All-Stars.

With them she recorded two fantastic albums, two LP’s that currently are much sought by record collectors. In 1990 she began her solo career but she has regularly collaborated with different San Francisco area bands too, as well as extensively touring in United States, Canada and Europe.

This is her fourth album where she is backed by Jeff Ervin on alto and tenor sax, Joe Kyle Jr. on double bass, Steve Parks on vocals in three songs and electric bass and Kevin Hayes and Bowen Brown both alternating on drums.

Of the twelve songs included in this new recording, six of them are Caroline’s own compositions and the rest covers of some blues and boogie-woogie classics like Doc Pomus’ “Boogie Woogie Country Girl” or Muddy Waters’ “Red Beans”. Her amazing technique and virtuoso piano playing are unquestionable as, besides her creativity and bright phrasing, which are both magnificent, Caroline shines and stands out with a huge variety of musical resources that will delight most listeners.

With this new release Caroline Dahl confirms again she is one of the best blues and boogie-woogie piano players in California.
