Born in the mountains of Colombia, Carlos Elliot Jr has found inspiration in Mississippi Hill Country blues, but also in African and Latin American rhythms to develop his musical career in the blues world Based on all these influences Carlos has created his own style, his original sound and his unique personality, mixing the hypnotic sweeping beat of the rural dancing music of Mississippi with the mystical and spiritual sense he gradually has found as he grew up as a musician and as a human being Although he usually lives in Colombia, Carlos travels from time to time to the United States which has given him the opportunity to play with some yankee music legends and lead The Colombian Blues Society, one of the most reputed institutions among the blues community in South America This album gathers ten songs plus a fifteen minutes bonus track, all them Elliot’s own compositions, except Take A Ride With Me coming from T-Model Ford and Hill Country Stomp by RL Boyce Carlos Elliot Jr sings and plays guitar, a kind of flute called ‘fife’ and pedal bass, while Raul Garcia is on drums
