After some years of recording silence, the real soul lady, Miss Carla Thomas, comes back again with a new piece of work that belongs to a show she did at The Art Village in Memphis, Tennessee on February 2001 In that gig she was surrounded by a bunch of good friends, like William Brown, Reba Russell or Dan Penn on vocals Songs were chosen among Otis Redding, Isaac Hayes, Steve Cropper or Blues Brothers’ singer Eddie Floyd own compositions and she even included a delightful version of Willie Dixon’s Little Red Rooster A strong but at the same time delicious soft cd, perfect for all Carla Thomas fans, but also to soul and specially Afroamerican black music lovers
