On this second album recorded under his own name, Buddy Whittington let us see all his power and musical background, signing eleven versatile and full of dynamism songs Buddy can be proud of having been one of the members of John Mayall’s Bluesbrakers together with all time great white blues guitar players like Peter Green, Eric Clapton, Mick Taylor, Coco Montoya or Harvey Mandel to name only a few ones This new work entitled Six String Svengali not only shows his good playing and taste to perform Texas rock-blues, but also makes evident his enormous talent as a guitarist and song writer, with a huge knowledge of everything what is put in front of him Buddy has a warm interpretative dynamism with a colorful phrasing he runs with elegance He also has a rich powerful ‘big fat tone’ he pulls out when he properly handles his guitar Definitely this cd will be a rich feast for all fans and followers of Buddy Whittington’s rock-blues
