Finally comes the awaited cd format reissue of the three splendid vinil records that John Stedman separately published for the European market some years ago. They have now been reissued at a very ‘special’ price that suits every pocket which will allow any blues fan or music lover to get a copy. My congratulations to JSP for this good idea.

This box gathers three classic Buddy Guy’s records: “Live at the Checkboard Lounge Chicago, 1979”, “Dj, play my blues” and “Breaking out”. Buddy Guy is superb on the three recordings that deserve a qualification of five stars rating.

Musically speaking they cover one of the best Buddy Guy’s periods, together with the time he recorded for Chess brothers record label. Here he offers a clean bright performing along the thirty songs, which gives as a result more than one hundred and sixty-five minutes of his best blues. His voice sounds extremely poweful and velvety and his guitar shines at a very high level with the personal sound he is the one and only who knows how to take out of a guitar. From my personal blues vision, all of us should be grateful to him, because he has always given a terrific impact and a deep admiration among blues lovers and guitar players.

If you still do not have a copy, this is the right time to get it at a very low price.
