Buddy Guy is still an active 86 years young man. Although he is now on the road doing what he says is his farewell tour, the true thing is he keeps intact his powerful voice, his impressive guitar touch and the incredible feeling that makes him be one of the most passionate artists on stage.

And if all that was not enough, Buddy Guy has just released this album for RCA Records. He has counted with the valuable collaboration of the Grammy award-winning producer, drummer and composer Tom Hambridge, as well as a wide group of excellent musicians who give strength and a special stamp to each one of the album songs. You will also find some artists like Mavis Staples, Elvis Costello, Bobby Rush or James Taylor as deluxe guests.

Sixteen songs where Buddy Guy stands out and shines at a very high level, showing that, although he is 86 years old, his guitar and voice are still able to move us and communicate the real blues spirit, strength and passion, to make us fall in love again and again with his mastery way to play blues.

All the album songs are really impressive. You only need to listen to songs like “The World Needs Love” (a “made in Buddy Guy” slow blues), “I Let My Guitar Do The Talking”, “We Go Back” (sung as a duo with Mavis Staples), or BB King’s song “Sweet Thing” that closes the album.

A faultless recording coming from this great blues master, we wish him a long life to delight us with albums as impressive as this one. Life would be much sadder without Buddy Guy!!
