Here comes a Portuguese power blues trio, probably one of the most appreciated bands of that particular style in their country, a country that has not been very well known in blues field until now As it could not be otherwise the trio base all their seduction power on the cascades of riffs that come out from the guitar player and band leader simply known as Budda Listening carefully to both albums, one can get an accurate idea of the persuading conviction the trio is able to communicate when they are on stage The proposal of both albums One In A Million and Budda Power Blues, drives us to a kind of music based on the blues but focussed on a quite different well-drawn knot, clearly defined on the basis of some personal reflections perfectly displayed in a handful of songs (23 if we count both albums) all them performed with great commitment and enthusiasm The trio is formed by Budda on guitar, vocals, mandolin, Resonator, Fender Rhodes, piano and percussion, Nico Guedes on drums, percussion and backing vocals and Tó Barbot on bass and backing vocals In 2016 Budda Power Blues participated, representing Portugal for the first time, to the European Blues Challenge in Torrita di Siena (Italy), making a good impression on the huge European audience who came to the event
