For those of you, who are not too familiar with this brilliant singer and guitar player named Bryan Lee, say that when he was eight years old, he became totally blind He soon began to feel a deep interest in blues and rock and roll During the fifties he listened to all these music at WLAC-AM radio station in Nashville and he discovered three names which became his idols, Elmore James, Albert Collins and Albert King When he was only a ‘teenager’ you could see him playing guitar with a local band, doing versions of Elvis Presley, Little Richard and Chuck Berry During the sixties his interest for Chicago blues made him abandon any other musical style Since 1982 on, Bryan Lee lives in New Orleans where he has done a nonstop career, recording and working in all slums and corners of Bourbon Street and surrounding area The album includes twelve great cuts, all them with the special hallmark of his personal style Some blues heavyweights like Buddy Guy, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Duke Robillard, David Maxwell, Doug James and Sax Gordon among others have also collaborated with Bryan In short words, this is a clever work which makes as a result a faultless record
