Bruce Katz is a very versatile keyboard player who mastery performs a wide variety of American roots music. His style is fresh and spontaneous but, at the same time passionate, always showing an amazing technique and displaying endless musical resources.

Now he comes with a new album which has been recorded live for two nights from the Fallout Center in Boston, the city where Bruce started and consolidated his career backing a good number of musicians like Ronnie Earl, Duke Robillard or Mighty Sam McClain.

From those two nights, there have been selected eleven songs, nine Bruce’s own compositions and two covers “Blues Before Sunrise” coming from Leroy Carr and the Allman Brothers’ classic “In Memory of Elizabeth Reed” by Richard “Dickey” Betts.

The musicians who were on stage those two nights were Aaron Lieberman on guitar and vocals, Jesse Williams as guest musician on bass in five of the selected songs, Liviu Pop on drums and, of course, Bruce Katz on Hammond B3, piano and Hammond Bass, communicating an unbelievable chemistry that can only arise when musicians have played many years together.

The aim of both Bruce and the rest of the band was to capture and bring to listeners the variety of styles they performed those two intense nights with an undeniable skill and an impressive technique, that covered styles like blues, soul, jazz, rhythm and blues, boogie-woogie ot New Orleans rhythms, without forgetting to leave different passages for improvisation, groove and creativity. Two great shows where Bruce Katz was totally inspired, creating an atmosphere that can only be found in live performances.

An album that exudes quality, complicity and originality, that also collects the unrepeatable moments that only happen in live concerts when those on stage are stellar musicians.
