Despite he was born in London, Brian Cain has been living in Australia since 1969 He began playing harmonica when he was only twelve years old and today he has really got a faultless technique The funny thing is that what daily sounded on radio stations he used to listen to when he was a kid were groups like The Hollies, Herman Hermits, Manfred Mann, Beatles, etc, Brian loved to immerse himself in the music of people like Muddy Waters, Little Walter, Chuck Berry and John Lee Hooker And it has been this kind of music what has been always with him all over the years Besides Brian Cain’s fabulous and crystal harmonica sound, on the six instrumentals that give shape to the album he is tastefully surrounded by the expertise and sophisticated technique of Steve Wilson on guitars, Peter Nixon on bass and Jim Judd on the snare and brushes This is a remarkable, enjoyable highly recommended recording for all those who like design blues in the path of Robben Ford and, especially, his brother Mark Ford
