This is a more than remarkable work by New Orleans settled singer and guitarist Brent Johnson The album was produced step by step, with no hurry and the aim of doing the most perfect piece of work as possible Now it is done and Brent Johnson has published a well-defined good detailed album His music becomes a mixture of blues and roots rock, based on the experience and researching investigation of his own sound, a sound that sometimes can be a little bit rough and hard, with an aggressive touch that goes deep into your heart as a knife in butter According to his own words he has never intended to be a purist Brent’s guitar and voice are backed by Bill Blok on bass and backing vocals, John Perkins on drums and Wayne Lohr on keyboards, plus the special collaboration of guitarists Alvin Youngblood Hart and Sonny Landreth in some cuts Brent describes himself as a responsible guitar slinger and this is also how i actually see him In my opinion his work with Bryan Lee has given him a huge musical weight So, after listening to this album you will know why
