Singer, songwriter and guitar player Breezy Rodio is a new value of Chicago blues scene with a great future ahead He is always willing to perpetuate the sound of the real sixties West and South Side styles After starting his music career in New York, Rodio moved to Chicago with the purpose to build up a name in the music he really loved to sing and play He began to perform regularly with Guy King and other names of city scene Linsey Alexander saw the enormous potential of this musician and he immediately became his mentor and godfather so, shortly after, Breezy Rodio became Alexander’s band leader This album brings us seven original songs and eight covers that combine old time blues with some more actual ones, but never losing the frame and horizon that marks the borders of ‘windy city’ blues, that is to say, shuffles or slows from yesterday, today and forevermore Now Breezy Rodio is one of the most promising artists of Chicago blues In this album you will also find such great musicians like Billy Branch, Lurrie Bell or Carl Weathersby This is an absolutely recommended record to enjoy and savour with great pleasure
