Brandon Isaak is an artist and singer of roots music and blues who always gives preference to the honesty of songs and lyrics over sophistication or pomposity Although at first sight the recording may seem rather simple or even naive, Brandon’s music and lyrics always get a preeminent place among audiences For this album this Canadian singer, guitar, harmonica player, drummer and composer decided to surround himself with a diverse and varied roster of musicians he asked them the minimum amplification possible and the most extreme simplicity, not exempt of good arrangements to, in this way, give shape to thirteen songs whose lyrics tell us about life, love, the spirituality of the universal message and the clairvoyance, a gift that actually most of us have, but do not know how to develop and efficiently use it All the musicians who were involved in the project completely understood what Isaak was asking them and simply let them be carried by the spontaneity and charisma this musician created both in the recording studio and in the way to display music Brandon Isaak has managed to produce a recording whose best descriptive adjective can be no others than original, honest, fresh, spontaneous, personal and very participative
