Valoración: VERY GOOD
Since the day he was born Brandon Isaak has been surrounded by blues. His parents owned a couple of blues clubs and his father Ed Isaak was also a professional musician. From a very young age Brandon was able to back many of the musicians who stayed there for two or three weeks to perform in both clubs. From all of them Brandon learned all the secrets of the style and soon he decided to start his career as a musician. Thanks to his knowledge and versatility Brandon Isaak is able to perform solo or in duo and trio format and even with his five musicians own band, The Saints Of Swing. In this recording he performs solo with the only support of Keith Picot on upright bass and backing vocals, while Isaak is in vocals, guitar, harmonica, piano, drums, banjo and lap steel guitar, in eleven songs that give shape and life to this warm and sometimes intimistic project. The special genuineness, passion and atmosphere that can be felt in the whole album will let you discover the intensity and the power of communication Brandon gives to his performing. So here comes a torrid wrapping recording with an excellent music and good lyrics, which will surprise more than one.
