Brandon Isaak is a Canadian musician who plays guitar, harmonica, kazoo and jug, besides singing and composing songs Brandon was born and grew up in Whiterhorse, Yukon and he has always moved between his local area and Vancouver Those who have seen him play and have been able to hear him calmly and often, say he is one of the best Canadian blues musicians and, from what I have heard on this record, I can say they are completely right Brandon Isaak is an able artist who immediately connects with the audience and immediately have them eating out of his hand, thanks to his original own compositions and the interesting stories he tells us Here on Earth is a splendid collection of thirteen Isaak’s own songs and a fantastic showcase of his performing skills, along the different musical styles he usually plays, ranging from Delta blues to ragtime, gospel, swing and Piedmont blues Brandon Isaak is backed by Keith Picot on double bass, Ed White drums in three cuts and Daniel Lapp cornet and violin in two more songs
