The new work of singer Diana Braithwaite and guitar player Chris Whiteley is, at least, attractive and original Night Bird Blues includes thirteen Diana and Chris own songs, where they show their taste and talent on Afroamerican music This time they specially explore the windy roads of thirties and forties blues they play in acoustic and electric format All the musicians who back them show a wide knowledge of the music they perform, together with an amazing instrumental technique You will find John Sheard on piano, Victor Bateman on double bass, Drew Jurecka on violin, alto sax and strings, Bucky Berger on drums and, of course Diana on vocals and Chris on acoustic guitar, slide, harmonica, trumpet and vocals too A small treasure that relives the blues that was played about sixty or seventy years ago which still have all their validity and force in the new age we are living In short words, blues for the XXIst century, why not?
