Brad Vickers and his Vestapolitans drive us to the music they really love that has deeply influenced them like blues, folk, ragtime and what they call ‘roots ‘n’ roll’ In this last album they walk with amazing self confidence around all those genres of the beginning of last century which have helped to forge the true spirit and sound of USA music Despite many of the songs included in the album come from Brad Vickers and some of his colleagues, all they keep the elements, the scent and the spirit of the genuine tradition, together with those musical arrangements that were usually performed eighty years ago All musicians and instruments which have participated in the album contribute to round it up Brad Vickers on guitar, bottleneck and vocals, Charles Burnham on fiddle, Matt Cowan on tenor and baritone sax, Jim Davis on clarinet and tenor sax, Dave Gross on double bass, banjo, mandolin, piano and percussion, Margey Peters on drums, second fiddle and vocals, Bill Rankin on drums and finally the voices of Mickey Junior, Christine Santelli and Gina Sicily form an excellent line-up This is a great album which takes us back to past years with a kind of music that will hardly get back the splendour of yesterday
