Good combination of forms, styles and different blues stages is what singer and guitarist Brad Vickers gives us on his second album Brad takes us into their special world with his personal vision and conception of blues, in fourteen songs written by Tampa Red, Jimmy Reed, Chuck Berry etc, along with a good sample of his talent as a composer and arranger, as Vickers signs six of the fourteen songs included He and his musicians, The Vestapolitans, are really inspired, creating a calm, magic and relaxed atmosphere The album is very well balanced, as includes from Chicago electric shuffles to the kind of Memphis blues that was done in the twenties, as the great Vestapol Rag The cd also comes with the guarantee Dave Gross production, who also plays in eight cuts, as well as guitarist Bobby Radcliff as guest musician in a couple of songs It is a pleasant and varied work that will please you, especially if you like the mixture of skiffle, ragtime and good time blues
