It has just arrived the new album by singer, songwriter and guitar player Brad Absher and his band The Superials, the first one released for Horton Records after a short time of silence. Eight songs where Brad and the group gather the styles that have most influenced them such as blues, Southern-soul, New Orleans swing, Houston blues rhythms or swamp-pop ballads. A kind of music that invite us to enjoy and dance with each of the album songs, always on a calm subtle atmosphere, along a honest work where all the musicians give the best of themselves.

Recorded at the legendary Paradise Studios in Grand Lake, near Tijuana, Oklahoma, Brad Absher confirms what all of us who know his career already know, like his excellent qualities as a singer, songwriter and guitar player. Not in vain his love for guitar comes from the time he was a young boy and, one day, he found an old guitar under a bed at his grandparents’ house. At that time Brad was bored and nothing interested him, but that guitar became the center of his life and made him to decide to devote himself to music.

Finalists at 2014 International Blues Challenge, the band includes Brad Absher on guitar and vocals, EZ Mireles on keyboards, Danny Timms on Hammond and Wurlitzer, Jake Hemphill on guitar, Dylan Lyghton on bass, Matt Martin on drums and Charlie Redd and Briana Wright on vocal harmonies. The recording has counted with an interesting horn section and some guests too.
