The influences of Bossa Nova Beatniks are deeply rooted in late sixties underground music, that come from groups like Grateful Dead, Mothers Of Invention or The Fugs, among many other similar bands which appeared during the ‘flower power’ period.

Bossa Nova Beatniks leader, singer and guitar player Tom Gould, defines himself as a musician who does not belong to the actual times and prefers to conceive his albums as old LP’s with side 1 and side 2 which were recorded several decades ago. Together with drummer Pat Giles, they began to write a series of songs to give shape to this new recording. They soon realized that the chronology of the songs followed the course of a day, that is to say, from sunrise to sunset, so the album took an own life that made it sound in a different and, at the same time, very original way, moving aside from all the musical trends that today prevail in the music world.

Once he recorded them with their band and released the album, now they are publishing each one of the cd songs in streaming, one every two months and over a period of two years, with an excellent reception from their fans. Not in vain Bossa Nova Beatniks are a team difficult to classify, gifted with an amazing musical eclecticism that, with their totally special singularity, seduce most listeners in each and every one of his songs.
