Belgium has always brought interesting blues and rock-blues bands. Boogie Beasts are among them and now present their third work with good doses of a music where you will find the hypnotism of the ‘North Mississippi Hill Country Blues’, besides combining guitar with powerful harmonica riffs and a frankly dirty sound with some garage beat influences.
This third album includes twelve songs with reminiscences of The Black Keys, Morphine or The Black Box Revelation but also of John Lee Hooker or Bukka White. It is a recommended album for those people who like psychedelic or alternative blues with greasy sound that can be defined as addictive, creative and convincing. The group also gives some grooves that let us see these musicians’ inspiration flow in every one of the short album songs (the longest one is only three minutes fifty-seven seconds length).
Boogie Beasts are Jan Jaspers and Patrick Louis on guitars and vocals, Fabian Bennardo on harmonica and Gert Servaes on drums and percussion.
