Bobby BlackHat Walters is a Cleveland, Ohio bluesman and actor who for more than forty years has been singing and playing harmonica in a clearly down-home style Bobby is a retired US Coast Guard Commander with twenty-seven years of service Among the musicians he has played or shared stage over the years, Bobby feels especially proud of his contributions with Kenny Neal, Bob Margolin, Taj Mahal, Jason Ricci, Eddie Shaw, Slam Allen, Sherman Robertson or Bill Deal And The Rhondels In 2016 Bobby reached the final of the International Blues Challenge organized by The Blues Foundation in Memphis and ha has also received a couple of Blewzzy awards as Best Song of the Year for I Hear Mama’s Voice in 2012 and Please, Mr Blackhat in 2015 For this new recording, Bobby has chosen twelve songs, some previously published own ones, some own new ones and some versions, all with Chicago and Memphis blues influences and a touch of Delta Blues Besides Bobby BlackHat Walters’ voice, harmonica and percussion, you will also find Tom Euler on guitar, Lucy Lawrence Kirkpatrick on keyboards, Brian Eubanks on bass and Michael Behlmar on drums, plus some guest musicians
