I don’t know many people who works so hard for the blues and also in many different fields, as harmonica player, DJ, blues collector, producer, photographer, fan, archive keeper, owner of a blues club… etc. than Mr. Bob Corritore.

One of the activities Bob likes most is to release a series of albums he entitles “Bob Corritore & Friends” that collect the most genuine blues essence, like can be found in Chicago blues, but also in Texas, Tennessee, Florida, Louisiana or West Coast blues, thanks to his amazing collection of recordings he has done with the musicians who, over the years, have visited his radio show or his blues club The Rhythm Room. Of course, in all songs Bob is on harmonica.

Once again, the list of names included in the recording is really impressive. You will find Bobby Rush, Thornetta Davis, John Primer, Carl Weathersby, Johnny Rawls, Eugene “Hideaway” Bridges, Francine Reed, Tia Carroll, Oscar Wilson, Diunna Greenleaf, Jimmy “Primetime” Smith, Willie Buck, Sugaray Rayford and Lurrie Bell as vocalists and, among the instrumentalists, mention, among others, Bob Margolin, Bob Stroger, Anthony Geraci, Ben Levin, Johnny Burgin, Kid Ramos, Billy Flynn, Bill Stuve, Fred Kaplan, Debe Keyes, Doug James…

With this cast of musicians, the result can’t be other than an exceptional album, not only for its amazing quality but also because it gathers for blues lovers’ joy, the most genuine and passionate blues. Once again, Bob Corritore has hit the nail on the head.
