Excellent, impressive, incredible, magnificent… you will finish the good adjectives to describe the collection “From the Vaults Series”, Bob Corritore is gradually publishing with VizzTone label, that gathers most of the recordings that, over the years, Bob has done with the greatest blues musicians of all time.

Now it is the turn of a select group of Chicago blues great names Corritore played and recorded with between 1992 and 2022, when these musicians travelled to Arizona to perform at Bob’s club, The Rhythm Room.

It would be really long to mention all the artists who perform in the album so, let me only say it includes so great bluesmen like Jimmy Rogers, Magic Slim, Chico Chism, Luther Tucker, Koko Taylor, Manuel Arrington, Eddie Taylor Jr., Sam Lay, John Primer, Pinetop Perkins, Bo Didley, John Brim, Willie “Big Eyes” Smith, Eddie “Big Chief” Clearwater, Bob Riedy or Lil’ Ed… but I would not stop without mention that all the artists involved in the album are first-class musicians too. Not to mention that Corritore and his harmonica are present in the fourteen songs selected for this volume, leading and giving an outstanding lesson of the best and most genuine real Chicago blues sound.

A fantastic album in every aspect that, thanks to Bob Corritore’s enthusiasm to share his impressive archive, will delight all blues lovers.
