Co-leaders of the French band Les Maudits Waters, Christophe “Zeb” Vialle-Moidat and Richie Faret have decided to come back to the deepest blues origins. To do so, they have founded a duo, Blues2Men, to totally immerse themselves in the culture of American black blues, recreating the most primitive delta sounds with prewar urban blues to finally arrive to the mythical ‘crossroads’.

While Christophe handles with vocals, resonator guitar, guitar, tambourine and bass drum, Ritchie deals with harmonica, vocals and tambourine. Together they now present a new release with eleven songs that musically drive us to deep south juke joints, tastefully displaying simple songs in their conception, but direct and dynamic in their development, where the atmosphere that can be breathed is the true feeling blues immediately communicates and awakes in most listeners when is performed and felt from the deepest part of the heart.

Before this album, Blues2Men released in 2022 a debut EP with five songs entitled “Only Two” that precisely was the preview of the highlight this “Ton Of Gas” is. Both releases will catch listeners from the beginning to the end, thanks to these unique blues songs full of strength, magic and passion. It is worth getting both recordings because, I dare say that, if you are pre-war blues lover, these two cds will not disappoint you.
