Two great blues veterans like Gordon Harrower and Lil’ Ronnie share their panoramic vision and blues feeling in this interesting album Following the tradition of those amazing harmonica, voice and guitar duos as were Cephas & Wiggins or Sonny Terry & Brownie McGhee, these two musicians share their musical knowledge to explore the most genuine roots blues tradition, along some own compositions and different versions of songs coming from Muddy Waters, Jimmy Rogers, Lightnin’ Hopkins, Eddie Taylor and Slim Harpo, they pay homage with respect and devotion with their magical and honest covers With reminiscences of John Lee Hooker, the duo shows their knowledge and good taste playing with commitment, technique and respect, to make us feel the truly passion on those old blues, quite difficult to find nowadays that, in the hands of these two musicians, get a new life and a very special significance, thanks to the amazing strength they give to every one of the blues songs included in the album Lil’ Ronnie vocals and harmonica and Gordon Harrower on vocals and guitar show us the way how genuine blues should be performed to communicate a very special feeling A really wonderful album that deserves to be appreciated by all those who have been caught by the blues, not only in their minds but also in their bodies and hearts
