The musical career of the successful band Blue Long suddenly stopped in November 2006 when his leader and guitarist Eric Lieberman developed a rare neurological disease called focal dystonia which affected the coordination of his right hand Since then on and with a hard work and dedication Eric has slowly overcome this big problem In 2015 Lieberman decided to come back to the first line, starting his work again with the band that led him to publish this interesting recording At present the band includes Alicia Aragon on vocals, Eric Lieberman on guitar, Jonny Viau on tenor and baritone sax, Marcus Bashore on drums, Taryn Donath on piano and Art Kraatz on bass Together with them you will also find some guests musicians as guitar players Nathan James or drummers Ron Felton and Marty Dodson All they contribute to give more impact to an already strong, vibrant, imaginative and funny album Although Blue Long have always been a specialized covers band of forties and fifties music and jump blues, this time they have included some own songs ranging from Louisiana swamp groove to gospel, rhythm and blues, jump, ballads and acoustic blues
