From a very young age Blind Lemon Pledge was fascinated by blues, folk and roots music, learning from artists like Blind Lemon Jefferson, Son House or Skip James. From these musicians he developed a very personal style where he mixes country, rock, Zydeco and the old songs of twenties and thirties jug bands. During the hard long confinement days Blind Lemon Pledge devoted himself to write a handful of songs that he now presents in this album, the ninth of his career. You will find twelve compositions where Blind Lemon Pledge is on vocals, guitar and harmonica. He is joined by Peter Grenell on bass and Juli Moscovitz on drums. Culinary speaking the trio has cooked a savory stew, spiced with Louisiana wine and served on a picnic tablecloth, ready to be eaten in the middle of the countryside. Musically speaking, the result is a bunch of eclectic songs that drive us to a good musical table with delicacies coming from American roots music.
