Interesting proposal singer, harmonica player, composer and drummer Blas Picón brings us Blas is well known among Barcelona blues lovers, because he is always at it leading his music adventures, or in the facet of owner partner of one of the most emblematic bars of the Barcelona blues scene, The Honky Tonk Blues Bar The album presents twelve songs performed on a trio format with Picón as singer and harmonica, Oscar Rabadán on guitar (in my personal opinion one of the brightest and best blues knowers in all its styles and variants) and Reginald Vilardell drums and percussion, who today is probably one of the most requested drummers by Barcelona blues musicians An original and the same time authentic cd, with a pure down-home sound and dirty greasy blues, to listen without any prejudice or taboos, which will make you imagine as if you were in any slum in the deep South of the United States, from Jackson to Clakrsdale The trio sounds compact, loose, energetic and well teamed Blas and his Junk Express are an unbelievable engine to produce good unpretentious blues performed with a lot of groove, convincing twist and an amazing powerful punch
