Black Cat Bones is a band formed in 2004 by five musicians who know how to connect with the audience, thanks to an explosive mixture of blues rock standards and their own songs, displayed in a convincing way, thanks to the voice of the leader and composer Charles Pitts and the excellent job of the two guitar players together with a powerful rhythm section.
Recorded in Tucson, Arizona and produced by Billy Yates (former member of The Outlaws), this recording drives us to the essences of Southern rock, for the dedication, honesty and conviction the group develops all the songs included in their repertoire, that actually makes them be one of the most requested Southern rock groups which are regularly playing from USA east coast to the southwest, where they are highly respected by lovers of the distinctive American music guitar sounds.
The album gathers eleven own compositions, that become a good compendium, not only of 70’s blues rock but also of the most actual one, because the band firmly believes in what they do and show it in each of the songs they perform.
As I have already said, Charles Pitts’ voice leads the group, perfectly supported by Richard Rivera and Kid Dynamite “Devan” on guitars, Jeff Daniels on bass and Bill Greenberg on drums, with the special collaboration of Mark “Doc” Holladay on keyboards in the song “Junkie”, Mike (Johnny Guitar) Blommer on guitar in “Come On Down” and Billy Yates on guitar in “Soul To Save”.
