Farlow learned to play guitar and harmonica from twelve to fifteen years old, with the same interest for black music to White one In the early sixties his family moved to Detroit and it was there where he began participate in jams with Big Joe Williams, Sippie Wallace and John Lee Hooker In the fall of 1966 Billy formed his first band, opening for Cream at the Grand Ballroom In 1967 he joined the band of great drummer Sam Lay as harmonia player, replacing legendary Little Walter who had recently died During 1969 he traveled to California to become member of Commander Cody & His Lost Planet Airmen Many years have gone passing by where Billy C Farlow has always been a very busy and prolific musician, constantly involved in many different projects that include both blues and góspel music This album is his debut one for Crosscut Records where he has included a wide selection of blues mixed with gospel and swamp sounds, on a very Louisiana down-home contemporary blues The band musicians are Billy C Farlow harmonica and vocals, Jean Paul Avellaneda guitar and dobro Bruno Quiñonero bass and Stephane Avellaneda drums and percussion
