Bill Sims has a wide experience as singer and guitar player He grew up singing gospel in a small church in Marion, Ohio where his father was a minister When he was only 14 years old he began to play and sing on a blues and r&b band, basically doing versions of classic songs coming from Muddy Waters, Howlin’ Wolf, Freddie King, Jerry Butler and many more In 1971 he joined a doo-woop band, The Four Mints and, since then on, he has enjoyed a non stop musical career, which from 1076, drove him to turn into other musical fields In 1988 Bill came back to the blues (everybody comes back to the fold, when the blues catches you, you will never get out of it) In this cd, Sims plays a perfectly built and elegant blues, mixed with some soft-soul and a few funky drops
