    Valoración: GREAT

This cd belongs to the style I personally define as ‘road blues’ or Americana music deeply based on southern country-rock-blues tradition. The influences of bands like Allman Brothers Band, Comander Cody and His Lost Planet, Z.Z. Top or Lynard Skynard are evident on this excellent album, skilfully and tastefully done. Probably the main reason is Lyerly is a very professional experienced musician who for a long time has been involved into the music business. Bill Lyerly amazing musical talent is present along this cd that, although it was recorded in 2000, has not lost validity six years later of its publication date. I even dare say that, as years go passing by, “Motel Room Blues” is becoming an outstanding record. Well done very poetical songs with excellent guitar, vocals and keyboards arrangements, all them performed by Bill Lyerly, and Hugh Floyd on bass, Dexter Horton on drums and some guest musicians, give huge quality to an album I love more and more every time i listen to it.
