If you enjoy with ‘house-rockin’ blues’ in the path of traditional bands like Lil’ Ed & The Blues Imperials or J.B. Hutto seventies band, this cd is what your are looking for. Big Frank and his guys perfectly know gumbo, rumba or calypso rhythms as well as original Chicago blues style. An honest cd recorded with a great dose of enthusiasm, groove and feeling, with no study devices and other musical concessions. Ten songs with some Elmore James, Eddie Taylor, Victoria Spivey, Memphis Slim or Eddie Jones compositions plus one of band leader, singer and guitar player ‘Big Frank’ Mirra. Also mention Mrs. Doña Oxford on piano and legendary late Spivey Records owner Lenn Kundstadt final production.
