The band founder is singer and guitar player Darryl Porras, also known as Big Daddy Before he started playing guitar, a friend introduced him into jazz circuits, where he began to listen to Wes Montgomery, Miles Davis, Sonny Rollins and Dexter Gordon Luckily for Darryl and us, his older brothers made him discover blues music, listening to musicians like Anson Funderburgh, Ronnie Earl, Albert Collins and especially Freddie King, he deeply impressed him In this new cd Big Daddy is backed by The Dynamites, with Drew Hall on vocals, guitar and slide, Steven Ayres on vocals, bass and acoustic bass, Gary Regina on saxos, Carlos B Jones on drums and the special collaboration of Matt Jackson on keyboards A cool appealing album, perfectly built, with an straight good final production, performed with a powerful passion, where blues flows like a waterfall of clean water
