It is quite common that an artist publishes an album where he pays tribute to a legendary musician who has passed away What is not so common is that a legendary artist publishes a recording as a tribute to another legendary name that moreover was his brother This is the case of singer and bass player Benny Turner who, once again and as he has once previously done, pays tribute to his missing brother, band mate and friend Freddie King Benny started to play as backing bass player and in the middle of the 60’s, he started to play in his brother’s band, where he toured all over the world The unexpected Freddie’s death in 1976 only aged forty two, produced a terribly sadness in Freddie and he retired from music for two years It was Chicago blues guitar player Mighty Joe Young who encouraged him to come back to the stages and, since then on, his fame and prestige has not stopped to grow With this magnificent album, Benny has given shape to a great work, surrounded by a faultless very professional musicians who create, song after song, an amazing climax Songs like Big Legged Woman, Have You Ever Loved A Woman, I’m Tore Down, See See Baby or Mojo Boogie come in a masterful way, showing the undeniable class and the incredible good work of all the musicians involved in each and every one of the album songs This is an incredible album, perfect for all those Texas blues lovers
